Your Return at Exit

At the end of a property’s target hold period, investors receive their share of proceeds from the sale of the farm. This is when appreciation in the property’s value — accumulated over the hold period — is realized.

Farmland returns are composed of two key components: ongoing income1 from lease or crop sales and land value appreciation realized upon sale2. Together, these form the total return investors can expect from a farmland investment3.
